Data controller

This website is operated by saldia AG, Buchmattstrasse 11, 3400 Burgdorf, Switzerland, which is responsible for the data processing. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights: lorenz@saldia.ch.

What data we process

For an account: your email address, your password (stored as a hash only) and optionally your name, your parental role and your own height. Within a family, voluntarily entered details about children: first name, date of birth, sex, measurements (height, weight, head circumference), values derived from them (BMI, percentiles) and optionally a bone age. These are health data of children and therefore sensitive personal data – we treat them with corresponding restraint. You only enter what you want to.

Purpose

The data is used solely to assess and display your children's growth and – if you choose – to share it with people you invite. No advertising, no tracking, no selling of data. The processing is based on your voluntary use of the service and your own entry of the data.

Recipients and processors

Hosting and database are operated by Nine Internet Solutions AG (Deploio) in data centres in Switzerland. For sending emails (password reset, invitations, confirmation links) we use Amazon Web Services (SES) in the EU region Frankfurt; only the email address and the message content (links) are transmitted – never measurements or other health data. The legal safeguards for this transfer to the EU apply (adequacy or standard contractual clauses). Other recipients exist only if you invite them yourself: family members and invited health professionals (e.g. paediatrician or midwife) see the data of the respective family (health professionals read-only by default, removable at any time). Beyond that, we do not share data with third parties.

Quick check without an account

The quick check runs entirely in your browser. The values you enter are not transmitted to our server.

Cookies

We use only technically necessary cookies: a session cookie for signing in and a cookie for the active family. No tracking, no analytics tools, no third-party cookies.

Storage and deletion

Account and family data are stored on servers in Switzerland – until you delete them. You can delete individual measurements, children, families and your entire account at any time; deletion takes effect immediately and permanently. If you entered measurements in someone else's family (e.g. as an invited health professional), those values remain with the family but are detached from your deleted account.

Data security

Connections are TLS-encrypted, passwords are stored as hashes only, 2FA secrets are stored encrypted. Access to family data is strictly limited to members of the respective family. Optionally you can protect your account with two-factor authentication.

Your rights

You can view (including CSV export per child), correct and delete your data at any time. In addition you have the rights under data protection law: access, rectification, erasure and data portability – contact lorenz@saldia.ch. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
