A percentile compares your child with 100 children of the same age and sex. Percentile 25, for example, means: 25 out of 100 children are shorter or lighter, 75 are taller or heavier. Percentile 50 (P50) is the middle value (median).

Are the charts the same for girls and boys?

No. Girls and boys grow differently, so the percentile calculator uses separate charts per sex. Select your child's sex before calculating.

Can I also calculate BMI and head circumference?

Yes. Enter height and weight and the BMI is calculated and classified; for head circumference, enter the value in centimetres. All values are optional – check only what you're interested in.

What data is the calculator based on?

The new official Swiss growth charts from PEZZ, based on measurements of more than 43,000 children and adolescents in Switzerland. They have been recommended by paediatrics switzerland since 15 June 2026.

Does the calculator replace the paediatrician?
